Top of the morning, gentlemen.

I live in southeast Houston, out near Johnson Space Center, and we got slammed last night with rain. Before and after pics included. Creeks in the area are already way over. My in-laws live about a mile away from us and they're nice and dry. I'm probably going to have to hoof it over there today in waste-deep water hauling my wife and three cats along. And some kin...with more steely dispositions, as it were. 1111 might be a true lifesaver today. Already got my BAE2 on my belt. Bags are packed, this is going to take more than one trip, and it's going to be a long and nerve-wracking day. Already spent some time this morning resigning myself to the fact that I'm going to lose some things. But, they are merely things.

Wish me luck boys.

Anyone else having some Harvey issues, stay safe and be smart.

Watch out for critters in the water and be aware of the force of moving water. Best of luck!:thumbsup:

You're well prepared, lady luck likes that and a lot of hogs will be pulling for you too.

We had 12 inches last night here at the Texican place in East Podunk (a/k/a Beaumont). Nothing worth photographing where I am, though.

Have a great oinking adventure, but just remember to be safe in the deepest parts of that overflowing trough.

Another Beaumont resident here. Im at work in Port Arthur right now and we've been getting hammered all day. Best of luck to you and stay safe!

Be safe. I am sure will will get some of whats left early next week here in E TN.

Good luck , stay safe. Can't even imagine all that water. Had some pretty good storms here ( CT ) over the years. But I'm on high ground so that kinda water never.
Again good luck and be safe

Prayers for ya! It's not going to be good for so many down there- Nothing is looking good following the reports. Stay safe above all else.

Update: Much of the city is under water. The water rose so fast that we had no choice but to scrub the original mission to my in-laws' (who are still dry for now). Our next-door neighbors and us went vertical and appealed to our upstairs neighbor. We're packing six people, two dogs and four cats in a second-story 1/1, but at least everyone is safe and dry. Unfortunately everybody's first floor units have collected a foot or two of water. Did some recon earlier, the water on the main road was chest-high. Impossible to make it in that amount of water. Assisted with some boat pickups, helped some elderly people and families get out. Just been hanging out here with our new friends watching the blackhawks circling and the boats tearing down the main road. Common sense prevailed today, as it would have been far too dangerous to attempt a trudge (slosh?) on foot. Seen a couple of airlifts from our complex. Will post pics/video in the coming days.

Yikes. I'm not far from you. I'm in League City on League City Parkway just off I-45. So far we've gotten about 27" where I'm at. We stayed dry but most of my neighbors didn't. They didn't get it bad, though. Lots of stranded vehicles. One joker got his truck stuck in one of our neighborhood fountain ponds because it was hidden under the flood waters he was trying to go around. He's going to need to hire a crane to get it out.

Good on you for helping out your neighbors.
