Has anybody lost their neck knive?

I had a question to the neck knifers. I have a Cuda mini talon neck knive. I was in Wal-Mart and holding some propane bottles against my stomach when I heard something drop. I looked down and it was my neck knive. Whew I'm glad I heard it.

About a week later I was unloading my truck and felt for my neck knife and it wasn't there. I looked around on the ground and found it. I've been lucky twice. You would think that you'd feel your knife falling, but I haven't yet. Just curious who else this has happened to. And if they have actually lost theirs.

I came close. For two years, I wore a Camillus Arclite whenever I would jog. A couple of months ago, I was jogging with my Arclite when I heard a "clang!" I looked down and saw that it had fallen out of it's sheath.

I guess I was lucky that at the time I was jogging, I was out of town and running on a concrete city park trail, instead of the regular wooded path I prefer when at home (or I may never have heard it fall). It had obviously just worn out, but frankly I was a little disappointed. It's not like jogging several times a week qualifies as "extreme duty."

It seems like the sheaths being produced for the Camillus/CUDA line leave a little bit to be desired, but I'm already jazzed about getting the new BK&T 11. Hopefully they'll get a sheath worthy of carrying that exciting new necker. geegee

The sheath for the Becker necker is very secure. It is also designed so the knife can be carried tip up or down.

The sheath on my Carson F4 has two screws at the open end for tightening the fit to order. Even one Chicago screw added to a production kydex sheath could avoid the loosening that makes carrying upside down so precarious.

I tried a hand held hair dryer, but with zero results. I probably just didn't do it lfor a long enough time. And I guess at some point, you question just how much time you're willing to put into restoring a sheath for a $20.00 knife (a great bargain of a knife at that price, but still...). geegee

If ya found one it's mine

I use Nealys Kydex MCS system, I've carried one of his knives for 20+ years, never a problem yet.

If I lose the knife I lose the sheath too,(ggod thing I always seem to find it though):D

I once lost a neck knife at a local city park. Luckily, I found it shortly after it fell out of it's kydex sheath, as the knife was lost very near to the swimming pool. Lot of kids running around with bare feet made me crazy for a few minutes.

If you keep your neck knife sharp you will know when it falls out because you'll be tripping over your entrails and your pants will fall down. ;)

i lost mine while capsizing out of a kayak
i'm still alright ;)
and believe me, that son-of-a-***** was sharp

The sheath on my mini talon loosened up on me too. I stopped wearing it because of that reason. It had it come loose on me a couple of times while wrestling with my 3 year old. I have since put a pop rivit closer to the end to tighten the fit.
