Has anyone actually tested vg1 edge holding of cold steel Japanese blades?

I have an older NIB xl voyager in vg1,and its a superb knife,its brand new in box,and fully serrated,I am not sure if I want to start using it or will sell it later on,but has anyone actually tested this steel and how does it compare to vg10 that spyderco uses?

In this test Ankerson has vg-1 on the same level as s30v and s35vn, so it's pretty good stuff.

In my experience, on big choppers VG-1 is excellent and vastly superior to S-30V and CPM154... It compares to Aus-8 or good 440C. Again, this is while using for chopping in dead wood, not slicing soft materials.
