Has anyone added a pocket clip to a knife?

I want to add a clip to a Greco Falcon folder (I’ll never use the pouch that was sent with the knife and I don’t like it sitting in my pocket) and was wondering if anyone has done this with this or any knife and what problems did you encounter? Where did you get the clip, and how did you attach it? Meaning did you buy a clip, take it off an older knife, and did you do any machining to get it to sit flush? I have been thinking of ordering a 3 screw clip from one of the various suppliers and breaking out the tap & die set and going for it, but was looking for some other ideas. Are there known problems with attaching a clip? Should I really go through the problems of machining (meaning taking it to somebody with a milling machine) and a nicer looking 1 screw setup over what I see as the easier 3 screw attachment or what? Basically I am looking for a little encouragement (or is that a kick in the a$$) from somebody that has done it to help me over the fear of messing up (cosmetically only I know, but that’s enough to bother me) my knife.

Thanks
Todd

I also just received a Falcon and would like to add a pocket clip - I wonder if there is a maker who would make the modification - I don't want to do it myself.

I have a beautiful Chandon Knives custom folder that came sans pocket clip. I ran into the same "don't-like-it-floating-and-turning-sideways" in my pocket problem as you.

I sent it back to Rick, and he installed a matching anodized pocket clip (and lanyard hole) for $25.00--and turned it around in about 1 week.

So my suggestions, send it back to the maker with politely request he put a pocket clip on it for you. :)

Go for it.

I would like to do this to my Grifon also, particularly if it would be possible to add a low-profile clip such as is on the SOG Vision. May have to look into this further.

I think a low profile clip will require some machining to get things flush, that's why I was hoping that someone has done this and could go through anything they had to deal with.
