I have seen on Codger's daughter's Facebook, he is in Hospital and things look grimm for Michael at the moment.
Has anyone further news on his current condition? Hoo Roo
 
Jenn has been sending updates. I'll forward the next one I get. He is one tough old buzzard he is.
 
I hope he pulls thru whatever the ailment. Great guy.

We are all keeping Michael in our thoughts, I am sure. HJK, your socio-political views are not appropriate in a knife forum. There are separate sub-forums for this. As a moderator, you should be the first to be cognizant of this.

I am not expressing any inappropriate views. I am merely inquiring after a friend. Are you referring to my signatures?
 
If anyone else is offended by my signatures I will edit them, no problem
 
Wow this is a shock! I just got an email from him last week and all seemed well, in fact I was just going to type up a reply today. He and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Testing..I've posted update 4 times and lrv has tried as well..BF must be having problems..just times out when you try to put more than one line..

This evening's update on Michael is that he has been in the hospital since Monday in ICU suffering from respiratory failure and was put on a ventilator.
 
Today they performed a tracheotomy and Jenn reports he looks much more comfortable. He is sedated and the plan is to reduce that and the dependency on the ventilator over the next few days.
 
Dr says he needs time to recover but is hopeful he should be able to go home. As I said earlier he is one tough old buzzard.
 
and a good buzzard at that! all the best! damn getting old is a bitch! i know cause i am there.
