Has anyone brought a worksharp k.a.t.s in their carry-on

I'm visiting Florida for the week and thought I'd take advantage of ordering the worksharp cuz its super expensive to order it to Canada but Im worried about packing in checked luggage to be broken. Has anyone put it in a carry-on? Do any of you work security? Would this be confiscated? Its no more dangerous than an electric shaver, I rlly dont want it broken.
