I hear lots of guys asking for a traditional Japanese/kwaiken style blade Emerson knife, but has anyone had a custom blade made to achieve this? Or modified a kwaiken, or shizuka, blade to fit an Emerson handle? Just curious to see if it can be done somewhat reasonably, and what it looks like, and what handle was chosen.

Anyone have any pictures? I'm not sold on doing this.... I havent modified/gone custom with knives yet...

Reese Weiland is making me a Japanese kata-kira-ba Black Ti blade for my CQC7, after BLADE. Reese will post pix.

I do but I sent them to two knife makers.
The blade I'd like EKI to make is just one of the traditional Japanese style blades. Are you familiar with their blade styles?

And, beautiful.
Try to get the book, Tanto, by Russ Maynard, The Samurai Sword, by John Yumoto, any other good books on the JSB.

Knowing Rolf's taste in blades, expect great things! Looking forward to seeing what your 7 will look like!
