Does anyone have any experience with both blades to compare these monsters?

Happy now with the "anyone compare" and the "?"? Long day at work and was thinking of this on the drive home, so my grammar and common sense may have suffered a bit. Thanks for pointing it out. And yes, Allcaps, that is what I am talking about.

I'm not blown away by tops and what they offer, I'm sure its performance is good, 5160 is tougher then 52100 but of course way behind in edge retention, INFI is head and shoulders above it. I'm maybe to biased to just offer a fair opinion though as the abstract concepts of knives is what I base a lot of my consideration on.

C,mon, how can you not love something called a Kukabolo?

But the TOPS has an Eagle and a Lightning bolt ON THE BLADE! That way you will be reminded that it's powerful if you forget.

Ah! Thank you Allcaps! :)

hkman, That one, well, the blade looks nice, I like the shape. The handle I dont, but I bet it feels better in the hand than it looks. The big graphics are a bit of a turn off as well, looks like they are trying too hard to get some patriotic point across.

Tops does have some nice stuff, like the RAT and Hood inspired line, also the Armageddon production version. I missed getting my hands on a Laser Strike back in the day, but I hear ESEE is working on one right now! :D

Given the choice of Tops, I'd lean toward the Armageddon or Steel Eagle's first. But they are dangerously close to the Busse in price, around 100 to 200 away and the boost in performance is well worth the price. But that being said, I'm going to get an Armageddon one of these days. ;)

No, not a joke at all, just looking for some input. I am definitely a Busse guy, and am thrilled with the NMFBM I was finally able to grab and start using. But my brother has one of these and it is an awesome chopper, just looking to get some other input, as opposed to our brotherly banter of which we think is the more capable chopper. And the tops is a nice knife, but the Busse is an AWESOME knife:)

Sounds like you are the guy who should be comparing them, since you have access to both blades......just saying. You could do a chop off or destruction test with them and post the results.

As far as my opinion on the tops knife you are asking about....mom taught me if I don't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all. :D

Not a great fan of TOPS knives (mainly on the basis of looks and price for 1095 - I've never actually used one), but it would be nice to see a large busse with a Barong-shaped blade like the one in this thread (although with an angled and more ergonomic handle).

Chop off, maybe when time permits. Destruction test, maybe with your knife! I will use my stuff hard, but not try to destroy!

Is this a joke? cause I find it heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelarious!

I tried to give an unbiased opinion, but I guess thats not acceptable here anymore, sorry I gave one. :o
