I guess I could have put this in the Embellishment Forum, but I'm pretty much a Spyderco guy.. so I thought I'd post here among my fellow followers. I'd like to consolidate two of my carry items... my money clip and my pocket knife. I can slip a few bills and maybe my drivers license under a standard clip and just drop in my pocket, but I'd like to be able to add my debit card, ins card, ccw license, and a few extra bills.

Has anyone worked out a good way to do this? I'd love to be able to get all that under a Leaf Storm or Dragonfly?

Thanks yall.

BTW... out in Denver this week.. gotta make my annual stop at the Spyderco factory shop in Golden. What to pickup this time??

Given that I don't like clipping knives to my pockets, I just use the pocket clip on my Native to carry whatever bills and a couple of cards with me. No conversion really required.

Dude, ya gots ta have the coins, ya know? When I gots da coins, you know the foldin' soiled green paper?, I use my black frn Cricket. Works wonderfully on those rare occasions when I have a cash stash. Course, I carry it every day whether I'm flush or not :)

The clip is surprisingly strong, and I find I can get quite a bit of stuff in it.

Thanks guys.. I'll try stuffing a few more bills and cards in there and see how it works.. Trying to come home with a G10 Dfly today.. we'll see what happens.

Sounds like a cool mod would be to take a spring-hinged money clip and cut and drill it to mount in the standard holes on the Spyderco of your choice.

I just stick stuff under the clip and drop it in my pocket. I have had quite a few bills and end up putting them under the clip. If the knife will be designated as a money clip and won't hold enough, then maybe bend the.clip out some so it will carry more. Otherwise, you could get a custom clip made that sticks out further from the knife before making the 90 deg turn to run parallel to the handle. Then it would fit more stuff under the clip.

I use a Victorinox Money Clip. It has more contact surface than a typical pocket clip. It's also slimmer and lighter than my Dragonfly.

Not really a fan of money clips, but I am toying with the idea of bolting a Countycomm titanium clip to a Cricket...
