Has anyone dealt with WoodLab?

If it's the "woodlab" that was on ebay, then yes... but not stabilized wood.... I bought some stag from them. Shipping was quick, price was good, and the stag was really nice... Sorry, that's about all I can contribute.

Dan, I bought some stag from him and he shipped fast and everything was OK.

Yes I have purchased wood from Wood lab. Some stag too. I met him at the Novi show a year ago. The wood I purchased was clean and semi stabil. I personally think that compared to most of the other so called stabilizing companies his is fairly good. It is not as dense as WSSI. I may give him another try. I prefer WSSI, Their wood is much more dense and plastic than any of the others I have tried.

So If you like your wood to be more wood like and a little less like plastic than they are quite good. Michael is a nice guy, and he sure is trying.

I met Michael from Woodlab at the AG Russell event this past year and I bought a little wrought iron. I wound up ordering more. Michael was very professional and prompt with shipping. At the show he had a lot of very interesting cross-cut stabilized material.

This thread is over a year old, was wondering if anybody has had any more recent experiences with them? For $7.95/lb they are the cheapest I've come across, just wondering if they're the "cheapest" as well... I have a box ready to set out, was debating between K&G and woodstabilizer, when I came across these guys.

The word "cheapest" can cut both ways. It can mean lowest price or it can mean lowest quality. Often ,it means both. I don't know about Woodlab, but i do know that I have never found any stabilizer that can old a candle to WSSI. The extra dollars are well spent. To borrow from the old TV add - "You get what you pay for."

I've always found this appropriate:

"The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low prices is forgotten"

For what it's worth, I've sent out two stabilization orders since initially posting this. Both were to WSSI and I have been very happy with the results from them.

Theres new stabilizing companies sprouting up all over the place.......or at least it seems that way. They all seem to charge the same as K/G and WSSI too.......weird. :o
