Has anyone disassembled their QSP Penguin?

Could you verify what washers yours has? Mine has phosphor bronze washers as well as some extremely thin white washer that I would assume is probably a separator meant to make the washers easier to remove from each other for manufacturing, but maybe they are actually supposed to be there?

I think those are teflon. I’m pretty sure my Emerson’s have the same set up and so do a few cold steels.

Yep, I agree. Cold Steel actually puts the Teflon washer, rather than the phosphor bronze washer, adjacent to the tang because it gives the average user (i.e. not us) a smoother experience out of the box.

They are supposed to be there! They're used as spacers (in conjunction with the washers) for the blade to center on the pivot. Don't ever lose one or your pivot absolutely will not center. Ask me how I know. :(

I got a qsp penguin a couple of weeks ago .
I've not stripped it down and probably wont but i've got to say i'm really impressed with this knife .
The fit and finish is spot on , a great looking knife to my eyes and blade grinds and centering are also very good.
A solid and well put together knife for not a lot of money .
I got the linnen micarta for myself and the jean micarta for my brother.
Both excellent examples .
