has anyone done a review on the small cuda tanto?

I have a first production run small CUDA tanto that I bought 4 years ago. I was fascinated with the unique disk opener (slide the round disk on the side of the handle forward to open the blade).

The blade stock, particularly the spine, is fairly thick, and the handles with the dual stainless liners give the knife a hefty feel. The liner lock engages about halfway across the bottom of the blade. The ATS-34 blade takes a nice, fine edge, with the tanto portion of the blade having a slightly thicker edge.

My only real complaint was that the knife was extremely stiff in opening with the thumb-disk, but after a number of openings it began to loosen up.

There are some sharp edges on the knife, especially around the finger grooves. It's definitely rugged, and I have had no issues with using it hard.

Hope this helps.

I owned one for about a year before trading it for something lighter. I was impressed with how stout this knife is and how fast one could flick open the blade. Mine was very easy to open with the disk and a bit of wrist movement. The tanto blade was very hefty and quite capable of hard work.
