Everyone,
I am I the only one who has notices that you can almost never exchange the pocket clips on kershaws? I would really love to swap some clips because i like some clips better than others, but the holes are never the same width apart. is there a reason for this? i kind of understand the "individual design of each knife" bit, but it still seems like it would be simpler for everyone if the holes in the pocket clips were all the same distance apart. can anyone explain this?

The pocket clip is the first thing most people see, and therefore a pretty big part of the design of the knife. The Leek/Shallot/Blur have interchangeable clips, the OD-1, Salvo, Skyline, Random Task II, Rake, Breakout, Rogue have interchangeable clips, and the Turbulence, Talon II, Zing, Speedform II, Volt II have interchangeable clips.
 
and if you are so inclined you can fit a ZT clip to the OD-1, Salvo, Skyline, Random Task II, Rake, Breakout, and Rogue.

Fine. It just does not make sense to me. I guess it makes sense, but i guess i prefer utilitarian stuff.

That's not enough utilitarianism for you? :p

Oh, and not to mention the ZT series...
 
If it was me there would be 2 clips for the whole line and the distance between the screws would be the same on all of them. there would be exceptions like the spec bump, but mostly they would be completely interchangeable across the entire line.
