This got locked in the Spyderco subforum so maybe this will be a better place to discuss it:
I really like my PM2 but I am a flipper guy so it has a hard time competing for pocket time. I was playing around with it today and noticed that there is plenty of room for a flipper to poke up through the back where the compression lock is. It has a nice detent on it as well. I used a pen and just pushed really hard on the choil and the blade came most of the way out. This makes me think that the front end of the choil could be extended and it would make a nice flipper.
I know that there is an all new spydie flipper coming but I would love to see the PM2 with a flipper option. If I had the know how, I would totally try to do it myself.
Someone else had to have had this idea before right? I see so many waved spydies that it I would think someone somewhere has attempted it.
