Has anyone ever formed a knife club?

Making knives is what, heating, pounding, grinding, sanding, fitting, heat treating, sharpening and polishing?

I think I could make a "stab" at all but heat treating.

Would be kinda fun to have a club with a forge to try it.

Maybe a college extension course.

Have done a jewelry class.

Would like to try making a knife.

Anyone done it?

I tried to put together a local knife at one time, but there didn't seem to be much interest. If I lived 180 miles to the south it wouldn't be much trouble, but it doesn't seem like there are a whole lot of knife folks living in my vicinity.

You know, that sounds like a good idea. I've never tried it personally (yet) but would like to do so, if it became available. Now, all I need is a group, a forge, materials, and some skills and knowledge that I don't currently possess... :D

Never formed a knife club to make knives. I did form an online knife club on the Prodigy service back in like 1990-91. It was called PBA, Prodigy Blade Association. :)

From reading this forums it looks like there are a lot of fellow knife enthusiasts in the eastern PA area. I'm in Upper Bucks County.
