The Large Sebenza is the same size as the Small Sebenza in the calfskin pouch. I just purchased my first Large Sebenza. Previously, I had been free carrying a sheathed Small in my front pocket. I noticed that the "naked" Large is virtually identical in size to the "pouched" Small. The Large has a bit more weight, but neither are heavy knives. I wear a suit to work. Anyone else free carry a Large in the front pocket of their suit pants?

I don't wear a suit very often. I can't imagine carrying 1 of my large sebs loose in the pocket of slacks tho. Using the clip is very comfortable, that's what it's made for..to

clip it to your pocket. A small would be a Much better size to carry loose or in a pouch in the front pocket. A small would be a much better choice to carry clipped

to your slacks IMO.

I don't have to wear a suit very often, but a large would be way to big IMO. If for no other reason, if you are wearing a suit then you are probably surrounded by people who would give odd looks at a knife as big as a large sebenza. I think you need to take a look at the mnandi:)

My Sebenzas do not "work" with dress slacks at work. They tend to ride sideways in a front pocket, which does not a good look make.

Slightly better in a slip pouch, but still kinda large. I usually IWB my Wilson Combat Eagle and carry one or two Sebenzas in slip pouches to admire in the office while working, then carry one clipped in jeans once at home.

I'm not that concerned about odd looks at the office. Everyone knows I have hobbies. There is another guy who shares my interest in fountain pens. Get the two of us together for an early morning "pen tasting", and THAT will draw some perplexed looks. :-)
I've looked at the Mnandi. Wasn't my thing. They are beautiful to behold, but I don't find them much fun to open.
My main point is that the Small Sebbie in a pouch takes up the same amount of real estate in your pocket as a Large. I'm gonna give it whirl today just for giggles.

INteresting observation.
The large isn't that much larger, but it's heavier.
Mine rides in a belt sheath.
During summer I find myself switching to a small.

Just for the record, no problem free carrying the large in a suit pants pocket. It's not only the same size as a pouched small, but is also about the same weight as an iPhone in a Lifeproof case. An iPhone in one pocket and a Large Sebenza in the other provides perfect ballast to keep from listing starboard or port as you make your way down the office hallway.:)

Coin pocket.
Wear slacks/suits that have a coin pocket in the right front pocket and they fit very well, small and large. I had my tailor add a coin pocket to several pairs of shorts for sebenza carry purposes. (She only charged me $5 per)
