Hey everyone,

I am just curious if anyone has any experience with blades made by Mark Hazen. I have an opportunity to acquire one, but I would like to do a little research on him first. I was able to read a little bit about him by searching here on BF, but most of it is really old. It seems that he makes/or used to make very quality knives. His website is down and I havent been able to turn up much. I am curious if he is still making knives and if he still honors warranties and such.

Thank you!

Same here. My last name is Hazen, too, so I was curious to find out more about this knife maker. There are a few of his knives floating around here and there, but I can't find anything current about him or his knives... maybe he died or went out of business???

Mark is/was located near Charlotte, NC. I'm not sure if he's still an active maker. I have a couple of his knives, and they are very well made, IMO. I met him, and he was a very nice person, but I have not seen or heard anything from him in a couple of years.

Mark Hazen of Hazen Knives is alive and well. He just came out of retirement and is back in making custom knives again. I found him through his website... [Removed per forum Rules] Apparently, he has made a connection with the Special Forces Association and has introduced a series of 4 knives named after Medal of Honor recipients.
