Has anyone ever heard of SVC 10? Is it any good? And what would you compare it to? I've tried to research this but have found no information is this a new steel?

I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I've always had knives since I was a kid but have just started seriously collecting recently. In addition to my steel question, I would also like some recommendations on must-have knives for my collection.

i have never heard of this steel. who is using it? i know Spyderco's website has a good steel chart that has been updated recently enough that it has CPM S110V, which is pretty impressive, depending on what the blade is used for.

Would this be the steel supposedly used in a Chris Reeve knife from a large Chinese shopping website?

If so:

1) The knife is a fake

2) There may or may be any such thing as svc10 steel

3) Either way, don't waste your money. Without trying to bring down another Hatestorm, we've been over the ethics of Chinese copy knives many, many times.

Compared to 300+ for a Chris Reeve that you know the origins of, $60 seems too good to be true, and I'm sure it is.
