I really like the design of the Air Lite, light yet tough. Though, after a long time of carrying knife, I prefer to carry knife with a lanyard instead of pocket clip. the clip is only vertical, which is not the most comfortable sometimes, it is easier to pull the knife out with the lanyard doesn't matter the position. The Air Lite is lack of this feature.

I wonder if anyone tried to drill a hole in the handle or some kind of mod to it. I did look at other Cold Steel offer, but nothing else really fits my eye.

I don't own an Air Lite, but i do own an American Lawman.
In my opinion,it's one of the best pocket knives ever made. Lightweight yet extremely robust. Mine is the CTS XHP version.
Have a look at it :)

I find myself carrying the Air Lite more and more. Clipped iwb, it disappears.

And I agree. The American Lawman is definitely one of the best, if not the best, edc s on the market today. And it s got the lanyard hole.

The main thing I didn't like about the AirLite which I owned was the cutting performance. The saber grind is rather thick compared to Spyderco (full flat grind).

Agreed, I’d much prefer if it had a hollow grind.

Thanks for the suggestion on the American Lawman. It is indeed in the same ballpark as the Air Lite. However here in Canada, its price is doubled compare to the Air Lite, 100CA$ vs 200CA$, mostly for the S35VN steel upgrade, it's a little much.

JFYI had one drop-point when they first came out and it was very thick behind the edge. Plus it had this lemon (slowly closing the knife and the blade wasn't spring loaded and could open up to 2 sm in the handle). Well I guess you know that story.

So anyways, couple weeks ago I got two Air-lites. It was just a good deal at flee bay. And yes, the knives are real, not fakes. One drop-point and one tanto-point. Both of them are grinded THIN !!! And the lock is pretty damn good. And.....ta..daaa.....both had LEFTY clip inside the boxes. These had the new gsm CS logo. I got them just for resale, but decided to keep both since these are near perfect except that damn new logo.
