Hi all,
I recently had an old broken "Old Hickory" Butcher knife modified into a work of Art.

I was wondering if perhaps something like an old Carving Knife (I have an old English Carving Knife with a Stag handle) might make a good candidate for modification ? This knife has an OAL of about 14" with a 9" blade. I'm thinking of having the 9" blade cut down to about five and a half inches which I think is a pretty handy size. I realize Carving Knives have a somewhat thin blade (hence not too good for Bushcraft per se) but, I would think this might make a nice slicer and/or Game dressing knife. I would love to see pictures should any members have such a modified knife. Thanks.
Regards,
HARDBALL
