I like everything on this knife except would like the tip to be more pointy ,same like gen 1-3 endura.I was going to grind it down on a beltsander. Any input?

Just keep the blade cool and make sure that the point will still be inside the handle when it's closed.

Didn't Gary Graley make a Stretch with kind of a clipped point? It looked pretty cool.

Yes, and I'm pretty sure there's at least one other person who has done a similar mod. I've been tempted to find someone to do it to one or two of mine, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Damn, that's sexy.

Ah yes, I remember that mod, took a while but I did like the outcome, nice and pointy, some felt it was similar to a JD Smith folder too

^ Excellent work, Gary! That looks like a great modification for use and with nice flowing lines as well. I'm not sure if I see the JD Smith similarity though...

Thanks, they were talking about the blade shape not the whole knife

At first, I did not like the new tip either but then, it made perfect sense to me.

Got a few I've modified, some the blade, some the handles, some both.
I buy knives knowing they won't work for me in their stock form, but see one within that will.
Working on a contego now.

People get inspired to do things, is it necessary? Not really but it makes me smile;)

And that's the bottom line, G2. :)
If I may, I have a Franken HD7 that I just love.

Nothing wrong with that, Gary. Plus, one person acting on their inspiration can inspire others. And some mods can be "necessities", depending on what you want to do with the knife. Any blade shape is a collection of trade offs and compromises. I love the Stretch, and 95% of the time the "stock" blade shape works acceptably well, but that doesn't mean there aren't moments when I wish I had one with a "splinter picker" tip like yours, or one with a 50% thinner blade.
