I just noticed that since i started buying knives i got into other gear, like good quality rugged clothes, packs, etc. And then i realized how many flashlights i have bought. It all started small, with 2 photon's, then i decided it wasnt good enough and got a ARC AAA. Then a X5. Then a surefire M2, Then a A19 and a KT2 turbohead for the M2. Now im considering a M6. Anyone else notice that flashlights can be just as addicting as knives? After all what good is a knife if you cant see what you are trying to cut?

2 Surefire E1 (one HA and one SG)

and those are just the ones that I can think of off the top of my head......

yes, yes they are. i can't wait for an a2. i figure an a2 combined with a srd3 would be perfect. close range leds, medium range/brightness incandescent and something with lots of throw, but still carryability.

ps. YES!

Man, you ain't kidding!! I am a SureFire junkie:

M2 (x2)
M3 + KL2
8NX
E1
E2
E2e + KL1
...and currently my second M3 is en route to me :)

In addition, I've got scads of other lights:

Streamlight LiteBox
Streamlight Stylus 3
Several Photon 2's
Inova X5
Inova X5T
Several Mini Maglites (once I went SF, there was no turning back!)
Arc LED light on the keyring
Petzl headlamp

...and counting. Like knives, there are always new lights coming out that I gotta have. It's a disease I tell ya!

For me, SureFires are more addictive then knives!

I have close to forty SureFires and this will increase every couple of months...

I like this combination:

Sure havn't, I don't understand this light lust that is sweeping the forums by storm. Especially when that something costs more than 50 bucks and runs for like 10 hours on a 5 dollar battery. My 15 dollar coleman camping light has been working for years on 1 set of 4 D batteries and its bright enough for anyhting I would ever use it for. I use it about 5 times a year probably. *shrug*.

I do want a prince-tec LED light, just for something a bit smaller, but there are alot of 20 dollar gizmos I would rather have first which is probably why I don't have one.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I've been using Maglites for over twenty years and decided to upgrade to a Streamlight Ultra Stinger about 9 months ago. What a difference!! Now I'm hooked on the good stuff and think Maglites are barely average.
Since the Stinger, I've bought a Scorpion and just got a hard anodized Surefire C3.
And damnit, I want more.

Yes, yes, YES, they're addictive.
I had some Photon IIs, a couple of 4AA and 2D lights, a Mag 3D, and a Stinger. That was before.
Found CPF earlier this year, and wound up getting an Inova X5. Somehow avoided the siren call then. After making a list of things I needed from a light, I went back to CPF, and started looking around. Got the SF E2e that fit the bill, but instead of stopping, got a KL1 for it, a Mini-Mag for a Inretech LS drop-in (should be here soon), an UltraStinger, and am now looking at getting a 6P or D2 to add a clickie tailcap, and a bunch of other stuff to add-on so I have alot of options with the same light. This is fun.

Surefire E2e-HA
Surefire E2-HA
2 Arc AAA White
2 Photon II Blue
3 Photon II White
1 Photon II Turq
1 Photon II Red
4 Cmg Infinity task lights
Red Mini Mag (Have no idea why I have it I just found it in my light draw)
2 Black Mini Mag
Black Mag Solitare
A rechargable Surefire (I think it is a 9 volt something or other?)
2 Blue Asp lights

And a couple of old 6 cell Mag lights cause a long time ago I was one of the fat security guards outside a chemist

But I do not consider my light collection an addiction like Shane45-1911 said (sounds like a bible verse now  ) "I love my flashlight collection!!! It lets me see my knife collection in the dark!!!"
I could not have put it any better! :D :D :D
