I recently purchased a spearpoint SOFCK (after Derek kindly told me what everyone was talking about) and I noticed that unlike my other Emerson production knives, the notches on the liners match up with notches on the handles. I thought this was a nice touch.

I also noticed that my Mach 1 has the same characteristics. Is this going to be the trend with new releases from Emerson or is this only happening on the Mach 1 and the SOFCK?

Either way, I think its a nice touch. What does anyone else think? Or have you even noticed?

When I first saw the Mach one with the serrated liners and scales I was impressed, but when I way the SOFCK and the way they lined up the serrations for the scales, liners and thumb ramp, I was DAMN impressed.

I'd like to see more small touches like that . . . . we do notice.

Ohhhhhh yeaah I like those small touches. Can't wait to get a Mach 1, hopefully plainedged and satin finish.

As far as I have been able to determine, plain edge blades must be purchased direct from Emerson. That is how I obtained a plain edge Green-T Commander.
