I thought maybe you were going professional on me.
sorry memphis. i kinda missed the 'handle' part... i've looked at those before, you would think that they would be of good quality...aren't they made by the chicoms? i would not touch it with my MIL...
id save my $ up and get a real one. sorry... i just dont like stuff from china...

The reviews for that axe at Bailey's have some negative comments about the handle.
I bought two from Hickoryhandlestore, for 2 of my jerseys. They needed some working down, but worth it.
Mine were perfect grain.
Hickoryhandlestore sent me an "unfinished" brush axe handle that I'll be using for an old hewing axe. It just has a big rectangle of wood at the top instead of a teardrop shape. That could be an option for you although it would be a lot of whittling and spokeshaving.

What specs you looking at? I might have one. Though I think you need a longer neck for that jersey right? Or do you need a larger around neck, or both? Damn jerseys anyway.
Cool. Here's the specs on the eye:
Widest point: 7/8"
Length: 3 1/16"
Height: approx. 4 1/4" from the bottom of the lugs to the top
Thanks, Operator!
Edit to add: I was hoping to get something around 30 to 32" long and curved, like a french pattern or something.
That must be a beast of a head.
