Has anyone ordered from the Custom Shop yet?

To reduce my seperation anxiety over selling my 8's, I have an order in with the Custom Shop. It's not going to be anything dramatic, the Tanto plain edge , satin finish and black clip. For a little fun, I added blue anodized liners. Now, I have to wait for it. Hopefully it won't be any longer than the 6-8 weeks. I just found out that is about when my car should be in. It would be nice to get them both at the same time.

If ignorance is bliss,
why aren't more people happy?

Not as of yet. I have plans for a full dress Commander (with a twist), but am working on a new (expensive) camera and am saving for the Blade Show (lottery).

I haden't considered a Satin Tanto though. Hmmmm. Very interesting.

Digital, 35mm or medium format camera?

Nope, prices are out of line with what I consider acceptable. I will probably kick my self in the future, but as of now, that is how I feel! Dick

Not me either. I am purging my fun budget on a decent digital camera. Have wanted one for years, and will sure beat plopping objects on my el-cheapo scanner. Now I can WOW you guys with pics of knives and evil black firearms.....

I think my next Emerson will be a Commander. It will have to be HC, plain edge. I am a true believer in chisel grinds and the chisel point, but I just want to see what all the fuss is about. It's a shame....I can't use the "wave." I carry IWB in the (R) appendix position, and it's just not reliable there without twisting the knife (I have a "waved" '7 now.) I've LOST two Spydercos carried in the right front pocket, where the wave WORKS GREAT. I won't risk another knife carried there.

Are you kidding? Send your knife to Kevin Robinson and he will do the whole thing for $120.00. He does great work.

I faxed an order the day after the site went live through the custom shop, and I got a call yesterday saying it was ready to ship.

Nothing terribly special, just a mini CQC7A with blue liners and green handles. The price was reasonable enough, I thought. We'll see how quickly it shows....

Firebat, that was nice and fast. I had to send mine via snail mail. The PO has been messing up deliveries lately. I hoope they don't mess this up. It would be nice to get a call next Monday saying the Tanto is ready. I won't hold my breath.
