Has anyone ordered the ESEE Izula II from KnifeWorks, if so is the belt clip that

Yes. One thing I always do when I get a new ESEE, is order a custom kydex sheath. Azwelke has much nicer sheaths than the factory crap they come with.

Yes, the belt clip is removable?

Yep. It's a separate plate that screws onto the crappy sheath that comes with the knife. The giant hole isn't ideal for making it a neck knife. Contact azwelke to get a sheath made.

The factory sheaths suck.

Loosen the screws that hold the plate together, easy. if you want a sheath made, there are a lot of people that can do that for you. Check the link below:

Not all of them suck.

In your opinion. From my experience (I have most of the Esee line, multiples of some) they are quite good. Better than what comes with most factory knives. The Izula sheath is just fine. Molded plastic is more impervious to the elements than kydex.

Mine had four distinct screw holes rather than the long slot on one side; I'm not sure if that's specific to the retailer, or time period, or what.

I do want a kydex sheath for slimmer neck carry, but I'm definitely glad I have the heavy-duty molded plastic one. If I had to choose one, I'd rather have one that stands up to the elements.

For belt carry, using a tek-lok, the original molded plastic sheath works great. Great retention, and protection.

I don't use the clip plate at all.

For neck carry, I agree that the custom kydex ones out there work better.
