has anyone re-ground a mamba?

Hey guys,
I just got a Spyderco Mamba in a partial trade and its a very nice knife i love the look and blade shape thr handle isnt super comfy but thats ok, the thing keeping me from loving this thing is the 3\8 of an inch at the heel of the edge that is nearly 1/8 thick. I dont get why its this way i dont like it.

So has anyone re-ground one of these? either ill get it re-ground or its going to be a catch and release I think.

It's been done before. Charlie Mike did it, I'm not sure who did the other one I saw, but yes, thinned out a bit and the choil enlarged so there wasn't that unsharpened bit at the end.

Damn, I wish I modded mine like this ^ , but I sold it for the same reason, that edge just bugged me.

Josh just did this for me to get rid of the flat spot at the heel of the blade:

I like the choil idea but id still like to see one thats just been ground to use all the available edge.
