I'm thinking about tracking down an 896 RapidFire for purchase and if I get one, I would want to remove the pocket clip. I'm wondering if these little posts come off with the clip or if they stay attached to the knife.

Also wondering if they do come off, how does it look with everything removed?

Here are the posts that I'm asking about:

And here's a side view of the knife in question:

I dont own this knife but im assuming they are spacers and will come out once unscrewed. I can't see how it would make sense machining or casting them as part of the scale from an economic stand point. plus the scale is aluminum and even if the spacers are aluminum if it were part of the scale they be anodized as well...trying to sepreate that if part of the scale, would be a hard id think.

the 040 uses spacers too...think steel though. haven't taken mine apart, so maybe they screw into the scale too like the screw that holds the clip to the scale through the spacer..where I'm going is visually not appealing if removed.

all guesses though.......

Thank you. That all makes sense.
