Has anyone replaced the Kydex sheath liner?

I have a Busse Battlemistress E. It has the Cordura sheath with a Kydex liner.

Has anyone replaced the Kydex liner with one which has a retention lip molded in?

I like the sheath, but the placement of the snap, and the lack of any sort of retention in the Kydex makes me less than happy. After light use, my retention strap has frayed from resheathing and several times the knife has fallen out when the snap was not snapped fully.

To make the sheath reasonably usable, I am thinking of replacing the Kydex liner with one of the same dimensions, but with a molded "lip" to hold the knife in the Kydex even if the strap is not in place.


Anyone do this?
Any thoughts?

You may want to look into an all kydex rig, to do it the way you want to may run about the same & may not work as well, but I am bias Normark do you have any advise?

My advice is to shelve the cordura and get a sheath from Eric or David!
