I am thinking of having Emerson make me a Commander with Either Red or Blue colored liners.

Has anyone ever seen what these look like? Think it's a good idea? Going to have them make me a Commander with Green-T blade and black G-10 scales with the colored liners.

Thanks,

Ben

I would go for the blue liners myself

You may have to wait for the custom production line to officially open. But what the heck, give them a call...what's the worst can happen?
Be sure to let us know what they tell you
(and how much it will cost)

Yep

I took pictures of Derek's Commander with green liners at the Blade Show in June.

John,

How do you think Blue liners would look?

I am thinking of ordering the Black scales with a Green-T serrated blade with Blue liners.

How do you like the Green-T?

By the way... when is the SOF convention?

Ben

I think the Blue would look nice, especially on a Satin blade. But I'm partial to the green.

I like the Green-T coated blades. I'd really like a Green-T bladed Commander with a Green G10 body.

The SOF Convention/Three gun match ended Sunday.

In the "It takes all kinds" category, there was a "Rocky Horror Picture Show, Twenty-fifth Anniversary" event next door and a few wondered into the vendor show. I call this "Ghillie Horror Picture Show"

BiZZZZare!

Did Cal show you what he was thinking for the newest generation of the Commander Kydex neck sheath?

Can't wait to get one.

With all of this talk of the Commander; & with John's obsession with these, I went ahead & got myself a new Commander. Came today. Satin blade w/ green G-10. Maybe it's because it was the first time I ever tried the wave feature, but don't try using it while wearing dress pants. I nearly cut off my right butt cheek when drawing this knife

Works much better with blue jeans. Man this knife is big.

I demoed the Commander several hundred times at the SOF show. I figured out the best way to describe how to open it is "Don't lift it out like you would your Brand X, slide it out of your pocket (briskly).

I saw a Green scaled Commander with a Black-T blade at the show. Damn good lookin' knife. The Gentleman had purchased it days earlier and had no idea what exactly he had or how to open it. When I drew his knife out of my pocket, POP, you should have seen his eyes light up and the grin that followed. "Is it supposed to do that?" he asks. Big grin on my part.

"Yep". "COOOOOOL"

Funny thing was, he says that the dealer he got it from there in Nevada refused to give him the box that it came with. Makes me wonder if it didn't start life as a Green G10/Satin blade and "grew" a Black-T blade.

Hey John, thanks for the tip. I tried pulling the knife out so hard the very first time that it got caught on my pants, then the angle of the draw was off, thus almost hacking off a piece of meat.

"What your're use to". Is that like the big hands & big feet theory.
