Has anyone seen a Sage CF lying around?

Of course you haven't. But I did misplace one a couple weeks ago. Funny thing is the last time I can remember carrying it was a few days before I took my car to the garage. Did a sticky fingered employee swipe that sucker?

It's really too late to go back and say something. I looked everywhere-cleaned out the car, all the kitchen drawers, cabinets, toolboxes, fffuudggge. It would have to be my favorite Spyderco.

It was the last Spyderco I'd ever need, or so I thought. Oh, well, I hope whoever has it now enjoys the hell out of it.

I lost a dear to me Buck back in 1991 and still miss it! I was at a Lamaze class of all places and it must have slipped out of my pocket sometime during watching all these couples do odd looking things!

I know how it feels bro - sucks. Maybe you'll some how get it back.

I hope it turns up. I hate thieves... I picked up 2 extra Sage 1s last year but ended up gifting 1 and selling the other to a friend at cost. They're just too good to sit around as back ups.

I have the same problem concerning my D2 Para. I haven't turned the house upside down yet, but its coming. There was a positive, however. There were knives spread from one end of the house to the other - they were everywhere and I was having a hard time keeping track of them - hence my Para going MIA. My wife down to the local Lowes and picked up a Cobalt upper tool chest for me and I now have all of my better knives under lock and key.

I had a stainless steel spyderco dragonfly, my first spyderco............at some point last spring it disappeared.........I looked everywhere and could not find it............I figured it fell out of my pocket somewheres (I took the clip off it for some strange reason)

last week....(I'm trying to quit smoking).......in one of those desperate drunken 1am friday night nicotine urges, I start going thru my closet checking all my coats and stuff looking for a pack of cigarettes I may have overlooked........and what do I find in my carharrt coat????........no cigarettes, but the dragonfly!

sometimes they come back

also...I am now almost 3 weeks into quitting smoking

I also know the feeling, i lost a CRKT Full throttle (not a very expensive or particularly good knife but i still liked it). I probably lost it during some Rescue training. The way i see it someone found a good knife, and hopefully they will enjoy it as much as I did. Plus it gave me a good excuse to buy a spyderco :D. Hopefully it will resurface!

nickturbo; nice job with quitting. It does pay off!

Lost my leatherman micra with a teeny tiny usb drive attached to it, they didnt cost alot but i loved that micra and they dont make the same usb drive anymore :(

The other knife I wish I still had is an old Buck Stockman. That was my first good knife. Used to carry that with me in my sailing and fishing days, a few (ahem) decades ago.

I just remember the nearly invisible pins that blended seamlessly into the bolsters, and the satisfying "click" the slipjoint blades would make when snapping open or closed.

I could by another one, but it wouldn't have the sentimental value.

The pain of losing a good knife is almost worse than losing a good woman. My knives never yelled at me, they were always by my side, I could handle them when I wanted to, and they didn't cost too much to take care of. To all the missing knives out there..........

The first day I lived in Denver, my blue waved delica fell out of my pocket into the snow and I never heard a thing. Now I am VERY cautious removing my keys from my pocket.

I've given up hope for that Sage. It's looking more like it WAS pocketed at the dealership. That really burns me up, because I wanted to make sure that I didn't falsely accuse them, but now it's too late.

The car has been turned inside out. Oh, well, there's still a couple Enduras and even Benchmade that may see some pocket time.

I'll wait till Sal comes up with something that tops the Sage in terms of value, great steel, and ergonomics to replace the Sage I. Maybe the Blackie Collins lock model will?
