Has anyone seen any other Limited Editions of Chinese knives?

I just ran across this one in my stash and it has me wondering. It's the only import Limited Edition that I've seen and I'm wondering if there were any others. It's interesting that the label on the bottom says "Made in USA".

I don't know of any other chinese slippies that came in a limited edition box but I can think of several that were made in more "limited" numbers. If the special projects lists can be believed, 1,200 of the RedHead LE knives were made. The same lists show that only 500 each of the the LL Bean 382 Trapper and 373 Trio were made. They came in a standard box. In the scheme of things, production numbers of 1,200 and even 500 is not very limited.

The Canoe has a Limited run of the fishing guy knives. The knife has a silver fish on it and was limited to XXX numbers, and they threw in a gold fish for a special winner. Cant quite recall all the details but I bet everybody know what I am talking about...

Boy, how could I forget that one....495 Canoes with a silver fish and 5 with a gold one. Swiped this picture from an eBay auction last year....I think you won that one Matt....:)

In addition to those shown, these are limited to a degree.

The two 'most' rare in my opinion only are the first overseas model stamped 303 on tang and the two blade trapper with Limited Edition printed on blade. I had one of the first issued in that trapper and it had as good colored jigged bone as any folder made in the old factories of the NE US, much better than the one shown. But alas I gave it away in a moment of weakness and I am not sure to who....... 300

I don't think I've seen that red 373. I can't quite make it out, what does the etch on the blade say?
My gosh you take good pictures!

Thanks for the pictures guys. Those are all sweet knives, and most I've seen before. In my mind they all fall into the "Special Projects" catagory, (limited number made exclusively for a vendor such as LL Bean or SMKW's). Special Projects knives are pretty much all limited editions but not the "Limited Editions" that I'm thinking of.

It appears so far that no one has seen any others that actually came in the black Buck "Limited Edition" box and that was my original question. The one I posted seems to me to fall into both catagories, Special Projects and Limited Edition.

I have never seen the knife you posted here dave and had no Idea they sold some over sea's made knives in LE box's. Thanks for sharing.

This SO knife set was one made for Walmart for Xmas, the set did not come in a black box it came in a LE tin

It says Buck Collector Series. Dave I have no idea what box any of mine came in as they are all in file cabinet drawers with info sheets inside each box. But I never remember any in a black LE box. 300

We got my fishing fanatic nephew the green Bill Dance trapper for Christmas, it was really a nice tight knife.
