My dad got this as a kid sometime in the mid 70's and gave it to me years ago when I was a kid.

It's a small stuffable rucksack made by a company called western trails out of Bend Oregon which I could find little information on.
It seems to be a good quality little US made rucksack for what it is, and Its seen quite a bit of use mostly holding clothes and has held up well over the years.
I will take it when I go check the mail in case I have a package that doesn't fit in the basket on my cruiser bike or when I take the Dahon folder which doesn't have one, and I'll take it when I go visit / stay with family in case I acquire anything and don't want to bring it home in a grocery bag...ect.
The zipper is US made by a Talon ( which I've never heard of ) and the buckles on the straps are some name brand as well, they're stamped with a tiny anchor which I feel like is a brand I may be aware of.
I'm not sure there's much to learn about this thing , but I've never seen another example of tbis same one So I'm really just curious if anyone else has one or has ever seen one.
All I could find was an obituary for the founder of the company Mathew Murray Perlot , who was an MP and paratrooper in the ARMY, eventually becoming a production supervisor for COLUMBIA sportswear before leaving the company to start WESTERN TRAILS in 1968.
