I am curious about a Transparent Buck listed on eBay [price removed].
Has anyone seen this before?

A similiar pic was posted here very recently, a search should bring it up.

I´ve already seen the transparent Bucks... as fas as I can remember some guys at the Buck-subforum have posted. I´m sure you can find some more information there.

that is an aftermarket knife, made from the parts of a dis assembled Buck 112. Buck used to make them for the salesmen to show how everything works...Here is one I made last Sunday...
it is fashioned from Lexan, commonly refered to as bullet proof glass, bullet resistant is a more apt description.

There are also some in collections that Leroy Remer has made...He used to work for Buck for many years, and ran the Custom Shop for them IIRC.

Impressive work, Duane. It might be a great compagnion because of its lower weight... :)

Beautiful transparent Buck. Thanks for posting that pic, it readily explains how the action works.

100% agreed, Jack... if it were me, I would need months for such a work and a lot of try-and-error...

Add a sack full of band aids, as well as a hat for when I pull out my hair in frustration.

btw How's the balance on that 112? Is it blade heavy?

It balances a finger width forward of the rocker bar pin...weight is about the same as a Bucklite, which they sold tons of. It's actually a pretty sturdy knife, and I will occasionally carry and use this one, its pretty cool to see how close everything works together.

Yeah, the way he said, "Made one last Sunday" is pretty cool. Love that pic and WOW WOW WOW!!!!

very nice!!!!

Lexan?
I looked it up in a lexicon
Do you mean plexi-glass
