Has anyone tested new Kershaw-Emerson knives?

I have the CQC-3K and it's a nice budget knife. Personally, I don't think it's anywhere near a real Emerson. 8Cr14MoV doesn't hold an edge nearly as well as 154CM and the G10 doesn't have the same grip. The framelock is also bends a lot more than I would have liked. Finish on the CQC-3K is also rough, but I've never been too concerned about that.

I own a cqc7k, excellent value. Tanto, framelock, skullclip, perfect lock-up, blade centered, blade stays in the handle, top-notch ergonomics. Only two minor cons, had to tighten one clip screw about a quarter turn and the blade steel is ok, sharp but not with mind blowing edge-retention.

Sooo looking forward to the 620.

I have always wanted an Emerson knife, but I can't get past the wave feature. I know it is one of the things that made them famous, but I just wished they offer their folders without it as well. I would be in heaven.

They do offer models without the wave. I don't know them off the top of my head, but they do make them.

I picked up a CQC6K on a whim last time I was in my local knife shop. I've been carrying it at work, opening plastic bags, cutting money straps and other light cutting tasks and it has been quite disappointing. Edge retention is terrible, f&f is sub Rat-1, the lock up moved from it's initial 30%+/- to settle in at about 80%. I'm glad it only cost me about $40. I'm in the minority I know, but mine has been a total let down. There are better knives in the price range.
