Im planning to order a Harnds Viper knife from China , (costs about 20$), and was wondering what are your experiences with this steel(9cr18mov).Its a wide flat grind so it should be great cutter, and looks sturdy.

A friend of mine tried that and the washer gave up before the rest resulting in serious bladeplay. I'd recommend a Spyderco or Byrd or Kershaw or AG Russell if you'd try Chinese steel.

That steel is great, tempered to 60. Take a look at some of the Schrade liner locks (not the weird handle, black blade, serrated
silliness; but the simple thumb studs in G10. They are also using the same steel. I have three Schrades in 9cr18mov; all made
in China and have had no problems with them.
