Has anyone tried Skill Saw Blades for knives?

Since Skill saw blades have got to be the most common of all saw blades, I was just wondering if anyone has ever used them in knifemaking and how the results came out.

Jake,
I used to work across the street from a Skil Saw factory. I got several annealed round blanks of which I still use to make knives. The steel was L-6 and responded predictably in heat treatment. Good stuff.

Thanks Art, its nice to know I haven't saved all those old blades for nothing. Sounds like they will work out just fine.

I have been making wood carving detail knives out of skill saw blades. The steel is good and finishes well. Holds a good edge. You will be glad you did.
