Has anyone tried the Hibben competition throwers?

I believe these are rather new...I haven't seen them before anyway. 3 pc set of Gil Hibben 12" "competition" throwers.

Just wondering if these are considered quality throwers or not. Are they durable? etc.

I know nothing about qualities of metals and their strengths. I have a small set of hibben throwers that were my first throwing knives. They are ok, but the points/edges seemed to get damaged pretty easily.

Gibben always uses a 420 stainless which tends to be very soft. They will be durable if you don't mind using a grinder or file to take out the nicks. You can get a much better quality of thrower for much less. Check out some of the CS throwers available.

I was also interested in these throwers. So no one here has a set?
They look good, are a decent weight (10.4 ounces) and are adequate length,12 inches long.

Ideally i'd like a half dozen Moeller Vipers but at 200$ a pop that won't be happening soon.lol. From what i've read an ounce per inch is supposed to be the ideal weight, with a length about 12 inches. Most of the throwers i've seen around are too light and too short. The Hibben competition seems like it would be near ideal. I'm thinking of ordering a set soon. Any opinions on them would be appreciated!
 
I have a half dozen True Flight throwers from Cold Steel and they are tough SOB's. They take a throwin and keep on goin........
 
I have a set of these. One broke in half after a few throws. I also think CS are better.
 
I have a set and I do not think much of them. A real disappointment .Too short, too light. Cold Steel 14 incher is much better for the money. Hard to believe Mr. Hibben,knife hall of famer, could design and promote such a poor product in my estimation. I`m no pro but I love throwing and I throw often.
