Has anyone tried to fill in the bottle opener of the BK11?

Handling the 11, that end can be a little sharp in your palm. I won't need the bottle opener, and was brainstorming on how to fill it in. I was thinking about using a black epoxy.

How do you all think that would hold up?

Yes, I know the BK14 is coming. But the BK11 is available now at attractive pricing.

TIA

im not gonna. ive even been a bit curious if it could double as a can opener in a pinch. yes it would be slow, but using it would be better than using the blade

and yes, i do carry a SAK daily, but i often look at my knives trying to find other uses. ive used the pommel of a BK2 to pound tent stakes many times.

I would think the epoxy might do the trick. Should bond well to the existing. Or, if you're really skilled, you could lay a weld in there.

i agree on the weld:thumbup:, if done right it would be far more permenant than an epoxy
