Has anyone used Militec-1 on their Sebenza(s)?

Been using Militec for a couple of years. Works great. You use very little. Wipe a thin layer on CLEANED washers and pivot pin with a lint-free and clean cloth. Let it dry for a while. If you want to get really hi-tech, use a hair drier to warm the parts and militec after you apply it. Keep warm for a while (I've warmed it for 5 min, but I hear longer is better), then wipe any excess and put the knife back together. Smooth as butter!

Saw something about Militec in the other forum, but this one gets a lot more traffic, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here. I'll just bring this back up since it was already started

I have been using Militec on my balisongs for a while, and I use the Militec grease on my AFCK. I have had no problems with either, but then again, neither is a serious EDC, the AFCK is my main camping knife, and the balisongs are just used recreationally for flipping. Most of my EDC knives(Spyderco and BM) get rem-oiled every once in a while and make due with it.

I'd like to keep my Sebbie in top order for as long as possible though, so I thought I'd see what the general recommendation is here. Should I strip it down and use Militec or Militec grease? Should I just keep the Rem-oil on it? Or should I go ahead and buy the CRK formula grease and use it?

Good to see an old thread revived when it makes sense to do so... Like I said above, I use Miltec on my sebenza. It gets used a lot, opened and closed at least a few times every day, and sometimes much more. I only take it (now them, I have two) apart every 6 months or so to clean and re-lube unless I drop it in the dirt or something. My second seb (a small) I've had for about 6 months now and haven't felt the need to clean it yet. If it feels smooth and is easy to work, I figure it probably doesn't need it.

Check this thread out and I think that it will help answer some of your questions. I have my first Sebbie (a small) on it's way and I plan on doing the suggested things in this thread.

Good luck and let us know what you learn!
