I was wondering if anyone used this product on their wood handle Khukuris. This product has linseed oil in it. Any input will help. Thanks in advance.

Should work fine. The only problem I have had with Tru Oil is that it is a bit thick and leaves a fairly shinny finish.

I don't have a wood-handled khukuri (yet, he said, grinning) but I'm familiar with Tru-Oil from gun work in the past. The product is not as good in my opinion as other easy to locate finishing media. It doesn't penetrate all that well, being thick and shiney, as Will mentioned. You can get a good matte finish with it, but it's a lot of trouble. Better would be GB Linspeed, available now only from Brownell's, Montezuma, Iowa, or plain tung oil or 'Danish' oil, that you can probably find at any paint store. These last two are what I use...pure tung gives a very flat finish, Danish oil has some dryers that give a nice luster (not shine.) Anyone needing advice on application of these, can e-mail me, but it's really not that complicated.

I'm not fond of drying oils (tends to make for a more slippery grip and increases the chance of getting blisters with not perfectly fitting handles).

I prefer to use hot beeswax (make sure to remove any excess from the wood surface) - this results in a really good grip but might not give the best look for display...

Best wishes,
kai
