Has Becker stopped tapering BK-62 tangs?

An internet aquaintance contacted me after recieving a new BK-62. The tang is definitely NOT tapered!

Did they stop the tapering or did this slip past QC?!?

No clue. Never came across anything saying they changed it.

Do the handle scales look/feel wonky?

They should be obviously weird looking. I'm surprised assy didn't notice, since they might of been hard to assemble. the hardware is designed with the angle

Sounds like its a forgery. Kabar got back to the buyer.

If you're good enough to make a passable forgery, just put your own name and flair on it and sell it at an honest (probably higher!) price.

Unfortunately, they can be knocked out relatively cheap in China, right down to the packaging. Which makes it worthwhile in the long run.
