Has Benchmade Ever Brought a Discontinued Model Back To Life? Anybody know of any occurrences?

Yes, but rarely. And unfortunately when they do it's usually threw limited editions. The AFCK and Mini Rukus come to mind. Also the Stryker but the new Stryker is not exactly true to the original 910 design.

I know many including myself would love to see several discontinued models brought back as regular productions.

Sure they have. They just did a run of the mini Rukus recently. Although it's uglier than all hell.

Thanks guys. I have been collecting discontinued BM's like 800's, 730's. I saw a post of a 730 (m390 + Blue/Black G-10) where only 100 was made for a russian company where it could fetch $900+ right now. If KW brought back a version with m390/Blue/Black G-10 in an unlimited run as their current KW 710,810, it would have a serious impact on that $900 price tag. The thought has been making me re-think how much they are really worth.

I’d love to see a 740 or 610/615 with satin PE M390. It’s a shame some models were DQ’ed :( They just need a steel upgrade.

Many different versions of our favorites were made, including the Ares, Rukus, 806 TSEK and others.

You guys think the biggest hurdle of getting a limited run in of one of the favorites is just the upfront cost of having to buy a minimum of say 500 at the MAAP prices? Right now the new stryker in M4 and CF is $250, a 810 in m390 and G-10 is $180, if a hypothetical AFCK with MAAP prices is $200, 500 of those is $100,000. Doesn't seem that crazy. I mean I don't have that under my mattress...
