Has Boker 'copied' the ZT-0777?

I must have been elsewhere - 'TW' from KAI, in their subforum here, just mentioned that Boker is the latest to copy their infamous ZT-0777. He referenced a Russian language forum - which I rolled through. I saw a knife - with no obvious Boker markings, but, as I don't read/understand Russian, I could not understand the writing or video's sound. Is there a Boker, possibly an Anso design with his use of the slighly curved edge form, model similar to the MIA ZT 0777?

Thanks!

um....... sure, why not. Anything's possible. The new CRKT Ken Onion designs look alot like some Kershaw designs. Do ya think it might be because it's the same designer??? Hell, alot of designers were influenced by other designers. Guess what? Their knives look similar. Both Boker and KAI are too big to risk a lawsuit for blatant stealig of a design, but similar patterns are normal.

I know that Böker doesn't make the "Magnum" line knives themselves, they just buy them from various companies in far east.
And I would guess that they don't check every knife they buy for similarities to other knife companies designs.

English translation,
Quality copy of the flipper ZT, which did not hit the broad market. Price: 3800 rubles (D2/G10) and 4,500 rubles (D2/karbon).

Google is your friend, use it sometime. http://translate.google.com/

Stop instigating and learn some facts before you post dribble. If you dislike ZT, KAI, and Kershaw so much that is fine. It is your opinion and you are entitled to it but don't make up things just to read your own words.

What C_Becker said.
Also as 2bkc's post shows, Boker being a popular manufacturer, there are many counterfeits marked Boker, whether they look like an actual Boker knife or not.

Wow. Firstly, I have real people as 'friends'.
Secondly, the pictured and unlabelled knives on the referenced Russian forum were obvious fakes. I simply wanted to know if Boker had recently produced a variant based on that knife - not Boker Plus, Boker Magnum, etc - but Boker - which means, to me and most folks, Boker of Solingen, Germany. I could find no mention of such on either the USA or German site - or here, for that matter.
Thirdly, just how was I 'instigating' something...here?
Finally, and totally off topic here, I have many Kershaw and ZT knives, of which I have repeatedly eschewed the virtues of in the appropriate sub-forum here. Feel free to 'search' for more of my such 'dribble' there.

Merry Christmas to all!

First, can we agree that Boker owns Boker Magnum, Boker Plus, and Boker of Solingen, Germany as well as many others? Also that the non-German made knives come from manufacturers in the far east (China, Taiwan, ect).
The link is provided if you can't. http://www.boker.de/us/history.html
If knock off products and stolen designs are being sold under a Manufacturer's label, whether it is marked on the product or not, that entity is responsible.

Second, the "dribble" I speak of refers to bringing an argument from one sub forum to another. Why? If you claim Boker has nothing to do with it, why bring it up here?

Third, refer to the above line... instigating. All I can see is that you are trying to start a cross sub-forum war.

Last, what the hell do you mean by, "I have real people as friends", John? Are you insinuating that my friends are not real? Yes, I know you were referring to my comment about google. Just making my point about your instigating ways.
I am sure your "real" friends like you very much.

I have seen a profile similar to that before. I don't think that this is a "copy" at all. Scalloped grip and a liner lock does not a copy make. Not a lot of ways to make a knife look too much different, IMO.

Well, I may have the answer to my own original question in a Christmas gift from #1 son and his wife Friday night - a Boker Plus Mini-Vanquish, #01BO150. It is similar in blade shape to the Magnum line unit Rival1314 mentioned, but has a SS bolster and flatter scales of G10 over blue anodized liners - and a 'shark fin' shaped backspacer, also of G10. Therein lies the 'rub' - said fin-vestige created a 'hot spot' in the heel of the hand within seconds. The salesman at the local emporium said they'd take it back, in case I didn't like it (He knows my likes... and is holding a Boker Minos for me for 'after Christmas' purchase!). I must not - I haven't taken a picture of it yet, removed the clip, or used it since opening the box. The general QC was quite good , the 440C edge grind was even - and arm-hair-raising out of the box, and it was fairly easy to one-hand open & close it, save the weird, but stylish (Jeremy Marsh design), thumb 'stud'... and a stiff, but will likely break-in, liner lock release... and the aforementioned backspacer, which could be eased with some sanding. I probably should review it alone, but I thought I'd share here. It is a 'handsome' knife. The usual mail order/web sites have it pictured - and priced ($103 list).

Merry Christmas!

I think it's a large stretch to say it's a copy.

You must've failed the shaped blocks test when little....
