Has boker fixed epicenter?

So I already own an epicenter, but the lock completely slips. Its been anodized and carbidized so there is no warranty anymore. But I was wondering if they ever worked the lock up kinks out of it as I would totally buy another if the issues were fixed.
 
From what I recall, the problems were with the first generation, which was about three years ago by now.

I picked up one from the second generation and it is fine.
 
Some first generations. Mine is fine other than the scales are not even. All cosmetic issues with my 1st gen not functional issues.
 
Is there a way to tell what generation you have on this model? Just traded into one and I know next to nothing about it.
