I've been back in collecting for a while now and have picked up about a dozen Bucks in the last year and a half. .most 112's because I love them so but a few 300's too. Since I search the bay regularly for odd 112's I end up looking at a lot, I mean a real bunch of Buck knives. I don't want to overlook a gem so my search is simply 'Buck' . It occurred to me tonight that Buck has made just about every single kind of knife at one time or another in the company's history. Big or small, tatical knives of all kinds, traditional folders and fixed blades to odd models like the Smachet and even axes and some I don't know what to classify as ! Some were very inexpensive all the way to 'I'll never afford ' So since we have basically THE experts on everything Buck I wanted to ask yall has there ever been a cutting tool need that Buck has NOT made at one time or another? I think the one hole in Bucks products line was addressed recently with the automatic 110 and a few models but honestly I can't think of a need that Buck has not filled. ..Maybe a sword? They do have spear heads....

They make a straight razor.

I had bypass surgery in 2010 and gave my VA doctor a Buck and he told me how expensive surgical tools were. .When I got to Atlanta I told both Chuck and CJ that it might be a market for Buck to explore. As far as I know nothing came out of it but I would not be surprised if one day they do. I also told Chuck I thought the Buck brand itself was worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Does Buck make a box cutter? I don't think there would be much profit in it, but since we are just commenting on cutting instruments.

I'm pretty sure Buck has never made a true light machete, alone the lines of an Ontario or classic Latin american machete.
I wouldn't want them to though because a machete should be something from 1075-1085, not 420hc.

I don't know if Buck has ever made a small traditional fixed blade designed for pocket carry, or for neck carry .

Has buck ever made a peanut, sodbuster, or an equal end pen knife ?

Well ... I did say I might be mistaken.
Makael Makael , do you use it to shave, or as a very traditional Colonial to circa 1880's patch knife, when shootin' your smoke pole? :)

a sword...hmmm like the Buck Scimitar? This thing would be perfect for camping! haha
Details, please. :)
Is that a hand and a half or two handed sword?
What is the blade length?
A real beauty there. Thank you for sharing. :)

A Balisong/butterfly knife.
most of the crowd here wouldnt care for or want that, but i sure would. american made bali with buck quality and decent materials and fit and finish. at a reasonable price that bucks always are for what you get. maybe even as close to a bm 42 as possible.:) wow...id be all over it. wish list stuff though.

I would like to see them revive the old 4 blade stainless "US" military camp knife. Cammillus made most of them, but they were also made by others.

Currently there are no US made ones available new. The Cammillus ones were dated which made them a cool birth year gift for a youngster.

I believe Colonial still makes one in the USA.

My thoughts exactly on the machete. Similarly, other patterns of machete from around the world. Parang, bolo, kukri, etc...

Has Buck ever marketed a multi tool?

Colonial does still make a version of the MIL-K-818, but it's kind of hard to tell for sure where they're made due to different phrasing and exact places their made. Some are stamped colonial prov USA, while others I saw in the specs listed as made in Warwick RI USA.
On their website they list the county of origin as the United States, but others just say made in the USA.
on some knives they list it as American made •••••••••••••• knife which will say made in USA in the specs, while others don't and you have to look in the specs to see country of origin - United States.
Why is it different for some knives ? Is what they call
Their " 2205 general purpose scout knife " maybe made in the US with imported parts, or just assembled in America ?

This may work as a jungle knife. The Buck Talon FMC. Still looking for one of these bad boys.

A pic on Bucks wall. Hey Turok, have your receipt? Looks like one of these is just like the pic Turok posted.
