Has Buck made a knife with a pocket hook opener on it?

Emerson was the first to do it I think and many others have followed suit. I don't recall Buck ever making one like that but wanted to ask. If not, any guesses why not and likelihood of seeing one in the future?

It may have been a fad that is fading away or may not be the marketplace for Buck. It's a bit quicker but seems to eat up your pants pockets over time.

I think I may try the zip tie mod on a Vantage which would do the same thing to see if I like it much or not.

I didn't know what OP was referring to and went and found a picture. What the function?

From what I understand, that's called the wave. The purpose is if you carry the knife tip up, when you pull it out of your pocket, the hook catches on the lip of your pocket and opens the knife. The closest hing to that I know of in the buck world is a sheath for a 110 that aoutmatically opens then knife. I think it's called the quick draw

I think that is called a "wave". You catch it against your pocket edge when withdrawing the knife and the blade opens. Never did turn me on but different strokes for different folks.

Sorry, guys, it wold be very kind if you tell me what a pocket hook opener is. My dictionary coldn't help me. Thank you.

Yes, sorry, it is a wave.

I'm not a huge fan either but was curious if Buck had made anything along those lines.

Just things my mind wonders to while staring at the snow.

Erny Emerson invented the wave. It works. I carried a waved Endura for years. Here is a short video, non-buck marquee, showing the wave in action:

I quit carrying waved knives because there are times you want to remove the knife from your pocket and have it remain closed.

I'm really thinking how helpful this design would be, in real life, but short of being handicapped or an assassin, it doesn't do much for me.

Has no one here read "Touching The Void?"

A situation can occur where one-handed knife action can save your life and/or seemingly end your best friend's life.

If you want one, just buy the Buck you want and talk to Charlie Mike. I'm pretty sure he can wave-modify just about anything.
