Has GEC ever made a big single blade equal end jack?

I know that a lot of traditional guys love their multi-bladed styles, but I'm a nut for single blades. Has GEC ever made a single blade equal end jack? I see these white owls and big moose knives and think "man, that's really cool - I wish I could get that big clip equal end as a single blade jack!"

What single blade equal ends are out there? Northwoods Indian River is one that comes to mind but I'd like something bigger.

I believe the terms "single blade" and "jack" to be mutually exclusive. Just my opinion though.

I think you'll like the northwoods forest jack.

Good call on the forest Jack. I probably should have picked up one in cocobolo but I couldn't convince myself that I'd like the wharncliffe on this last run.

Is the Hogan considered an equal end? I think it has a taper and a flare on one side almost like a copperlock but not as pronounced.

A Big Moose with a single clip would be just right for me.

No the hogan isn't an equal end. I mentioned them simply because they are the larger jack models.

There's always the possibility of having someone here on the forum mod a #54 Moose for you.

It's not a single blade but looks like it would carry as one. GEC made the Presidential for KSF. It's a 4" thin design, equal end with a spear/wharncliffe set up. Here's a pic of one in ebony from KSF....

If the above Northwoods Presidential interest you then take a look at the #53 TK Cuban.

I carry the TK Cuban almost daily, or at least for the last 4 months. This is a working size big blade on a single spring that disappears in the pocket, it is a little long (4-1/8"), but I have change pockets in my RF pockets, and it rides in there without a slip. The length really hasn't bothered me. Great knife.

A single blade, spear, long nick, ebony, bare head (if jigged bone) would be the bees knees on the 54 pattern.

I don't know. Most of the time if I'm gonna carry a knife with that much bulk it better offer up a second blade. Unless of course its slim ana elegant like the toothpick of fishtail. Just my opinion of course. :D

I know you're looking for a single blade equal end knife but I really think the pen configurations like the #33, #68, or #53 are worth it. You won't notice the secondary pen knife when using the main blade and the extra thickness is negligible since they're still single spring knives. That secondary blade though can be useful if you keep a different edge profile on it, like really sharp or dull for scraping.
