I got interested in Busse knives at Blade 2002 but couldn't justify the cost back then. After some SRKW blades I decided to give the big boy a chance. A SH-E in slightly used condition came into my possession and I just used the sh$t out of it. Chopping, digging, prying, wire cutting and whatever I thought I needed a knife to do. Consider me convinced. Well then Jer let out the SAR-6. Bad move Jerry. Every knife short of a big chopper or a utility type smaller blade has been filled by the SAR-6. Sure I'll keep my NMFBM-LE and my Black Paper SAR-3 but what in the frickin' world can't these 3 blades do for me? The SAR-6 may just have to become the Busse flagship blade from now on. It's just perfect. That means I'll be gettin' rid of all my other Busses since they serve no purpose now. Well maybe I'll keep my Muddy Snake CG-FBM & maybe the AK-47, even the Killer Bee may stay aboard but all the rest have to go. Maybe not the M-HOG HOGASH-1 or ... sh$t this just isn't going to work. See what that SAR-6 has started!!!! I'll never need to buy another Busse knife! Yeah, I can stick to that....

ya,,i know what you mean.i have 2 sar 6's and absolutley love them.just sold a few other blades that have been made obsolete by the mighty sar6!!

I might have to try the Sar6. Not sure if it would be able to dethrone my SarQ from the mid sized throne.

to much handle in the sar series for me. the boss jack, now that is an excersize in perfection (for medium sized hands like mine).

Glad you found what you need. I am like minded with LVC for my personal favorite in this range though. Not a big fan of the SAR line, but Jerry has hit it out of the park lately with choices. I am hoping for a BOSS Badger maybe, and the means to purchase it if I like the design. If it were like a BA III, that would be perfection to me.

Not my deal, the whole SAR series. I have the Chopweiler, HHFSH, and some Dogs in the mid-size that I really like.

A lot of people feel the same way... so we all cant be wrong. A lot is just preference though as they are both awesome, but I love both the SAR6 and the BJ. Both are extremely utilitarian... and serve many purposes.

a combo release of a an anorexic boss badger attack and boss jack (with choiless options) seems like it would get a lot of attention/sales. I'd have a hard time not going for a CABBA, as it was always the one I wish I had ordered; 'I should have gone with 5" instead of 6"'.

Realistically, every foreseeable Busse need for me was met when I acquired my original thin Custom Shop Active Duty, and already had an ERGO BM, SH, and NO. But what does that have to do with anything? Since then my Busse collection has exploded, and I have no intention of using the gresat majority of them, as a few designated users do all the work.

Hmmm. Pretty sure that's illegal in Ohio. And I think Amy would kill him if she found out he was doing that to a pooch.

I think the SAR-6 is one of the baddest, kick-a$$ mid-blades on the planet - I was just wondering the same, how does it get any better?

It has the perfect handle for me (a touch under 10" palm circumference - not XL, but I'd say L)!
