Has New Jersey Steel Baron’s W2 Been Good Recently?

I’ve heard that recent batches have W2 haven’t been hardening properly (all the way through)... is this also true with NJSB’s W2? I’m looking at picking up a bar for some chef’s knives but I’d prefer not to blow 50 bucks on steel that may not harden all the way through

I have purchased 2 orders of NJSB W2 over the last year, both have been fine. I make chef knives and heat treat in-house....getting 62-64.

i ll know in a few days as i was sent some W2 stock to make knives from. my real test will be how the new bars of 52100 HT
